At Sarvodaya Ashram, Hardoi, our mission is to empower the marginalized and build a just, equitable society rooted in Gandhian principles of truth, non-violence, and self-reliance. We are committed to holistic rural development by promoting education, sustainable livelihoods, health awareness, and social justice—especially for women, children, and Dalit communities.
Through grassroots action and community participation, we strive to challenge inequality and bring systemic change. We aim to create an inclusive environment where every individual, regardless of caste, gender, or economic background, has access to their rights and opportunities to live with dignity.
Education is at the heart of our mission—transforming lives through innovative learning programs for children and youth. We also engage in campaigns to eradicate bonded labor, ensure food security, promote organic farming, and support ecological sustainability.
About Us
Her Right, Her Future — Free Education for Every Girl
Sarvodaya Ashram, located in Tadiyawan Block of Hardoi district, Uttar Pradesh, is a dedicated grassroots organization inspired by Gandhian principles of equality, non-violence, and self-reliance. Rooted in the philosophy of “Sarvodaya” — meaning “the welfare of all” — the Ashram has been working passionately to uplift the marginalized and promote holistic rural development.
Our mission focuses on empowering rural communities, especially women, children, and underprivileged groups, through programs in education, livelihood, health, environment, and social justice. Special emphasis is placed on providing free and quality education to the girl child, helping them grow into confident and capable individuals.
Our Thematic Areas
Sarvodaya Ashram is a grassroots-level voluntary organization based in Tadiyawan, Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh. Established with the Gandhian vision of “Sarvodaya – the welfare of all”, the ashram has been tirelessly working for holistic rural transformation through various development programs that empower individuals, especially the marginalized.
Education:
We run innovative, inclusive, and community-based educational programs aimed at improving learning outcomes of children, especially girls and first-generation learners.Health & Nutrition:
From health awareness camps to Targeted Intervention (TI) projects under NACO, we provide services focusing on reproductive health, HIV/AIDS prevention, and maternal care.Agriculture & Natural Resource Management:
Promoting sustainable and organic farming practices, water conservation, and farmer training to ensure livelihood security in rural areas.Rural Development:
Implementation of community-based infrastructure projects, livelihood generation programs, and capacity-building initiatives to foster self-reliance.Women Empowerment:
Focused interventions through SHGs (Self Help Groups), skill development, financial literacy, and leadership training to enhance women’s agency in society.Animal Welfare:
Conducting animal health camps, awareness programs on humane treatment of animals, and promotion of traditional and sustainable livestock practices.
